EMDR Therapy to Help You Feel More Grounded, Clear and in Control
Focused EMDR Therapy helps you build stability, regulate your nervous system, and prepare for deeper work without feeling overwhelmed.
Are you experiencing distress that’s starting to impact your daily life?
Do you find it hard to regulate your emotions when you're overwhelmed? Are your relationships being affected by patterns you don’t fully understand?
When your nervous system has been under stress for a long time, it can start to feel like your reactions don’t fully match what’s happening around you. You might notice intense emotions, intrusive thoughts, or moments where your body feels on edge or shut down. Over time, this can impact your relationships, lead to burnout, overworking, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others.
EMDR Therapy provides a structured, supportive space to slow things down and begin working with your nervous system in a different way. Together, we focus on understanding your history, recognizing how your system responds to stress, and learning practical tools to help you feel more regulated and steady.
We typically work together over a short, consistent period of time, allowing you to practice these tools and begin noticing shifts in how you experience your emotions and responses.
EMDR Therapy is not only about talking through what happened. The process often includes understanding your patters, building nervous system awareness, strengthening emotional safety, and preparing for deeper trauma processing.
WE MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF YOUR LOOKING TO:
Better understand how your nervous system responds to stress and triggers
Learn practical tools to help you feel more grounded and regulated
Build self-awareness without feeling overwhelmed or shut down
Feel more steady and in control in your day-to-day life
Have support that feels safe, not rushed or overly intense
What is EMDR Therapy?
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It’s an evidence-based therapy used to help the brain and body process experiences that feel stuck. Instead of only talking about what happened, EMDR works with your nervous system, so the intensity of those memories, emotions, and reactions can begin to shift.
EMDR follows an eight-phase approach designed to support both preparation and deeper processing over time. In this phase of our work together, we focus on the earlier stages of EMDR: building safety, stability, and a stronger connection to your nervous system.
This includes understanding how your system responds to stress, learning how to regulate when you feel overwhelmed, and developing the foundation needed for deeper processing when you’re ready This approach allows you to feel more steady and supported whether you choose to stay in this phase or eventually move into deeper EMDR work.
How does the EMDR Therapy Process Work?
-
Understanding Your Story & Patterns
We explore your history, current symptoms, and the experiences that may still be influencing how you think, feel, relate, and respond to stress today
-
Building Safety & Nervous System Regulation
Before deeper processing begins, we strengthen emotional safety, nervous system awareness, and practical tools to help you feel more grounded and supported throughout the work.
-
Preparing for Reprocessing
Together, we identify targets, patterns, beliefs, triggers, or memories connected to what you're experiencing now and build readiness for deeper trauma processing.
-
Reprocessing & Integration
Using EMDR, we help the brain and nervous system process experiences that may still feel emotionally unresolved. As processing unfolds, many clients notice shifts in emotional intensity, triggers, beliefs, and their ability to respond from the present instead of survival mode.
Imagine This…
You start to notice what’s happening in your body before it takes over. When something triggers you, you’re able to pause instead of immediately reacting.
You understand why certain situations feel intense and you know what to do in those moments. Your mind feels quieter, your body feels more settled, and you don’t have to work as hard to stay in control.
Instead of pushing through or shutting down, you feel more steady, more aware, and more connected to yourself throughout your day.
EMDR Therapy Intensives
While EMDR can be offered in traditional therapy sessions, some adults choose EMDR Therapy Intensives for a more focused, immersive healing experience. Intensives allow for more time to stay connected to the work without repeatedly stopping and restarting between 50 minute sessions.
Instead we work together allowing your nervous system to stay with the process of healing long enough for meaningful shifts to occur.

Watch this short video for a simple explanation of how EMDR helps process trauma, anxiety, and experiences that may still feel “stuck” in the nervous system.
Research on EMDR Therapy
EMDR therapy is an evidence-based treatment approach supported by growing research in trauma and PTSD treatment. Studies have found EMDR to be effective in helping people process distressing experiences, reduce emotional intensity, and improve symptoms related to trauma, anxiety, and overwhelming life experiences.
Research from Van Minnen et al. and Ehlers et al. contributes to the growing evidence supporting EMDR treatment outcomes.
Financing Available Through Care Credit
I know that an EMDR therapy is an investment. For some people, paying in full upfront isn’t the most supportive option. I’ve partnered with CareCredit to offer financing that can make this work more accessible. If approved, you may be eligible for deferred-interest financing.
That means no interest is charged as long as the balance is paid in full within the promotional period (up to 24 months, depending on your plan). My goal is to make sure finances aren’t the only thing standing between you and the healing you’re ready for. If you have questions about how financing works, we can talk through it during your consultation and see what feels manageable.
