EMDR Therapy Intensives for Women in Santa Monica & Across California

You’ve done talk therapy. You understand your patterns. But, your body is still anxious, tense or on guard. I offer EMDR Therapy Intensives designed to help high-achieving women heal the emotional patterns their mind understands, but their nervous system still holds.

So you can stop overthinking, feel steady inside, and finally rest without guilt

Signs That You Are A High-Achieving Woman Experiencing Emotional Burnout

You’re responsible. The one people rely on. You’ve learned how to keep going no matter what’s happening inside. You get things done at work, in your family, in your relationships.

But inside?

  • You replay conversations long after they’re over

  • You get thrown off by someone’s tone, silence, or distance

  • You stay productive so you don’t have to slow down and feel

  • You feel emotionally exhausted but can’t seem to rest

  • You hit milestones… and still feel empty

  • You call it “stress” or “anxiety” but it feels deeper than that

This Didn’t Start in Adulthood.

For many high-achieving women, these patterns formed early.

Maybe you grew up with:

  • A physically absent parent

  • A caregiver who was present but emotionally unavailable

  • Inconsistent closeness

  • Criticism, unpredictability, or pressure to perform

So your nervous system adapted. You became self-reliant. Hyper-aware. Productive. Guarded.

That survival strategy helped you succeed. But now it shows up as:

  • Chronic anxiety

  • Emotional reactivity

  • Overthinking

  • Burnout

  • Difficulty feeling safe in relationships

Insight alone doesn’t undo a pattern your body learned to rely on.

You may not call this trauma.
You might call it being tired, sensitive, or “anxious.”

But when your nervous system has learned to stay on guard, it can look like overthinking, emotional reactivity, and burnout, even when life is “fine.”

Why EMDR Therapy Intensives in Santa Monica, CA Work When Weekly Therapy Hasn’t Been Enough

A Different Rhythm for Real Change

Weekly therapy can be incredibly supportive.

But if you’re high-functioning, you may notice the stop-and-start rhythm: You open something tender…Then spend the rest of the week pulling yourself back together.

EMDR Therapy Intensives offer a different rhythm.

Instead of stretching the work over months or years, we work in extended, structured sessions that allow your nervous system to fully process what’s been stuck.

We focus on:

  • The anxiety stored in your body

  • The emotional charge behind reactivity

  • The relationship patterns that feel automatic and hard to control

  • The survival responses your system learned early

This isn’t reliving trauma.
It’s paced, guided processing that allows your nervous system to update what it no longer needs to brace against

What That Means in Real Life

• You’re not thrown off for days by someone’s tone or silence
• Conversations don’t replay in your mind long after they’re over
• You feel less activated in your body during conflict
• Triggers lose intensity instead of hijacking your nervous system
• You stop bracing before every difficult interaction
• Emotional waves move through you instead of taking you under

I’m Olivia, & I Get It!

Olivia Lavelle, LCSW- online EMDR Intensives for women in California.

Many of the women & men I work with are thoughtful, capable, and deeply self-aware.

They’re not looking for more insight. They’re ready for change that actually lasts. They’re ready to stop managing their anxiety all day. Ready to feel steady in relationships instead of easily thrown off, and ready for relief that doesn’t disappear by the end of the week.

My work is structured, focused, and body-based. EMDR Therapy Intensives allow us to work deeply and efficiently — without stretching healing across years of weekly sessions. We don’t just talk about anxiety, trauma, or burnout. We help your nervous system process what has been keeping you on guard.

I approach this work with clinical depth and practical structure. You’ll understand what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and how it supports long-term stability, and not just temporary insight.

I’m especially drawn to women who learned early how to be strong and self-reliant and are now ready to feel safe in their own bodies.

This work isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping you experience steadiness from the inside out.

When Your Nervous System Isn’t in Survival Mode

You’re in a conversation..and you don’t spiral afterward.

Someone’s tone shifts, and your body doesn’t immediately brace.
You don’t feel that drop in your stomach.
You don’t replay the moment all night wondering what you did wrong. You feel steady.

Not because you forced yourself to stay calm, but because your nervous system no longer reacts like everything is a threat.

You can be close without scanning for distance. You can hear feedback without collapsing. You can say no without over-explaining.

You stop asking, “Why am I so triggered?” Because you’re not living in a constant state of being triggered anymore.

Rest feels safe. Silence doesn’t feel like rejection. Space doesn’t feel like abandonment.

You still care deeply. You still feel fully. But you’re no longer bracing your way through your life.

Ready To Take The Next Step?

If you’re the one who holds it together on the outside but feels wired or tired on the inside, EMDR Therapy Intensives across California were built for this. You aren’t damaged or broken. Your body did exactly what it needed to survive and now it’s ready for something different.
